Harvest season was coming, and we needed more tourists at our winery. So we borrowed an idea from Argentina’s banks. Literally. UVA loans are the country’s infamous inflation-linked mortgages. But “uva” also means “grape” in Spanish. So we created the only UVA loan Argentinians might actually enjoy: pick grapes, earn credit and take home wine.
